At pioneering and transformative wellness destination, Chiva-Som Hua Hin in Thailand, wellness is a holistic way of life that builds on the world’s leading healing traditions. Chiva-Som Hua Hin once again welcomes visiting practitioners of international renown, enhancing the wellness journeys of its guests with novel and highly sought-after experiences.
The calendar of visits for the start of 2024 has been carefully curated to feature specialists from a wide range of disciplines, each bringing a unique perspective to Chiva-Som's wellness offering.
EVELYN PARAM, DHYAN WÖRZ, Emotional Release (1 to 14 February 2024)
Born an empath, with the ability to feel a client’s emotional body and channel healing light, Evelyn has pursued her calling by training as a counsellor, regression therapist, energy healer, and yogi. During her one-on-one sessions with clients, she helps them delve deep into the subconscious to explore the root causes of repetitive, self-destructive behaviours, including addiction. She also addresses energy blockages that can result in stress, insomnia, and phobias, and provides release with various forms of energy healing.
THOMAS ANDERSEN, Rolfing (7 February to 1 March, 1 April to 15 May 2024)
Thomas is one of the world’s leading Rolfing practitioners. Through Rolfing, or the Rolf Method of Structural Integration, he lengthens and repositions the body’s fascia to release pain and allow more efficient movement. As more space is created within the body, the force of gravity can also then flow and the body heals itself. Rolfing can be used to address pain, tension, stress, and low energy, and increases sports performance while reducing the risk of injury. Thomas will return for a third residency from 15 November to 22 December.
GREG SHIU, Applied Kinesiology (9 to 29 February 2024)
A chiropractor by training, Dr. Shiu has developed a holistic form of Applied Kinesiology that treats the cause rather than the symptoms of disease, including an overexcited nervous system, imbalances, exhaustion, and pain. Muscle response testing shows weaknesses in various parts of the body, which are then manually manipulated to provide release and restore balance for overall healing.
KANLAYANEE MARTTHUEAN, Crystal and Sound Healing (15 to 29 February 2024)
Kanlayanee, or Jang, has practised healing therapies around the world for over two decades. Her specialisation is crystals, which she uses for facials, reflexology, chakra balancing, and reiki to bring about a deep state of relaxation and inner healing. The vibrations of crystal bowls, each with their own unique energy, ground, centre and balance the mind, body, and spirit.
IAN LEE, Osteopathy (1 to 15 March 2024)
Ian is a graduate of the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the world’s most advanced centres of the discipline, specialising in sacrocranial osteopathy. Employing physical manipulation of the bones, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue, he relieves pain, increases mobility, improves circulation, and brings the body back into a state of balance, thus improving overall health and wellbeing.
LUCJA MASLOWSKA, Integrative Massage (1 to 31 March 2024)
Lucja's massages are tailored to individual needs, utilising an integrative approach and beginning with an in-depth and holistic consultation. Her speciality is medical massage, with therapeutic movements that address specific health issues, focusing on underlying conditions and providing long-term benefits rather than just relieving immediate symptoms.
DANCHAI CHERNPRATEEP, Psycho-Spiritual Reprogramming (16 to 30 March 2024)
Danchai is a meditation specialist with over a decade of healing and energy experience. Leading guests into a meditative state with a variety of sound therapies, he shows them how to cleanse the mind at a deeper level of consciousness, releasing redundant energies and so reprogramming the body’s signature energy to its natural, healthy state.
VIRGINIE CLARET, Holistic Healing Massage (1 to 31st April 2024)
Virginie is a natural healer, channelling energy through her hands and massaging with neuromuscular, trigger point, craniosacral and myofascial techniques to dissolve emotional knots and bring about bodily relaxation. Her treatments also blend bodywork and shamanic abilities to break ingrained patterns and promote balance and clarity, fostering a peaceful and healthy mind.
