Patina Maldives, Fari Islands has welcomed globally acclaimed designer, artist and vintage collector Sean Wotherspoon for an exclusive collaboration bringing together fashion, art, creativity and the marine environment of the Maldives. The collaboration transformed the Fari Art Atelier at Patina Maldives into a space shaped by Sean's distinctive visual language, centred around Respect the Reef, a large-scale ceramic fish sculpture created collectively with guests.

To commemorate this milestone, Patina Osaka has launched a special collaboration collection with globally renowned creator VERDY, who has served as the hotel’s Creative Partner since its opening. Patina Hotels & Resorts has announced the second edition of its Patina Art Residency, a platform bringing together artistic immersion, international art-world perspectives and purposeful patronage. Under the new theme, Rooted Realms, artists are invited to explore how place, identity and the environment shape one another. Submissions are open until 30 August, with the winner set to be revealed later this year at a private event in central London.

London-based artist Shezad Dawood has been revealed as the inaugural winner of the Patina Art Residency – a new annual art award from Patina Hotels & Resorts celebrating artists whose work reflects a commitment to impact and sustainability.
